What if I told you there was a wedding venue in Helena, Montana that could make your wedding feel intimate, even with hundreds of people?
What if this place was LITERALLY on the edge of town, but makes you feel like you are miles away from everyone?
What if a venue had the charm of a retired flower nursery, complete with cottonwoods, a rustic shade house, and plenty of seclusion for any sized party (not to mention your own nursery to take couples photos in at sunset)?
This wedding venue exists.
Kari and Hayden’s wedding at Shades of Green proves it.
This venue is one of our absolute favorites in the Helena area, so much so that we try to find any excuse we can to shoot there (weddings, family photos, styled shoots, you name it).
We always are drawn to the intimate Montana wedding. They ignite our souls, and our creative juices. We savor the details, like hundreds of hand folded pieces of origami created by Kari’s father, or the honey party favor’s provided by Hayden’s family bee hive.
Each time we visit Shades of Green we feel like we are more part of the family, not just some vendor hired to complete a job.
Whether it’s eating dinner family style at one long farm table, or challenging the bride to backyard games like cornhole or 2x4 Jenga, these weddings showcase a relaxed feel, one where the best parts of life (love, connection, happiness) are able to shine through.
When looking for the perfect venue for your wedding day, do your research. However, make sure your research includes a stop at one of Helena’s hidden venue gems. You might even fall in love here.
