Summer Star Ranch Wedding: Ashley + Brett

This spring Montana wedding at Summer Star Ranch in Helena, MT was a long time in the making, but their rustic party and sentimental touches made it perfect in every way.

Time.

When it comes to getting married- time can vary. Some wait a few months, or a few years, or almost a decade.

Ashley and Brett fit the later category. And while the resounding sentiment from friends and family was, “it’s about time”, there could not have been a more perfect day for these two.

Ashley, who did everything herself (she even made our new favorite sign!), was relaxed and ready. Brett, who admitted he knew he was going to marry Ashley 13 years ago, was excited and unhurried.

They both basked in the retelling of the time they first met. At a high school football game all the students rushed the field except for Ashley and Brett (Brett used the opportunity to get Ashley’s number!)

While getting ready, Brett affectionately explained his silver dollar belt buckle made by his great, great grandmother. And the bolo tie that was his late grandfather’s.

In the girls’ cabin, Ashley nonchalantly explained how her dress was actually the second one she purchased, but the first one she fell in love with.

The day carried on in a similar breezy way. There were emotional tears, tears of laughter, and an abundance of admiration for the love, and life, these two have built together.

As the saying goes, “Time has a way in showing us what really matters”. While it might have been highly-anticipated, Ashley and Brett’s wedding was all in good time.
